How Often to Use
Compression
3-5 weekly treatments
The entire experience in the Compression sleeves is 30-60 minutes. When you’re ready, a trained expert will escort you to our dedicated area where you can take a seat and relax. They will help fit you with the Compression sleeves for your desired area—legs, arms or hips.
Once you’re set up with the Compression sleeves, you can listen to music, work on your laptop or read a book, depending on the area receiving treatment. During your session, the booties and sleeves will slowly fill with pressurized air and then expel the air continuously until your session is over.
After your session, a trained expert will help you remove the sleeves. The muscles in your arms and legs should feel more relaxed, and you may even notice a reduction in stiffness and pain.
Compression helps your body by increasing blood flow to certain areas. Because of the increased blood flow, it helps deliver more oxygen and nutrients to an injured or inflamed area of the body, which may speed up recovery, relieve aches and improve athletic performance overall.
Restore Uses Normatec 2.0 Compression Technology
Traditionally, Compression therapy utilizes socks or stockings, but at Restore Hyper Wellness®, we use the Normatec 2.0 compression technology. This consists of “sleeves” that surround the arms and “booties” that surround the legs. Both sleeves and booties utilize compressed air to gently pressurize and massage the limbs and hip area, helping to reduce recovery time and increase circulation.
"Compression promotes better circulation and faster recovery. By applying controlled pressure to the limbs, this therapy enhances blood flow and helps to eliminate toxins, reducing muscle soreness, swelling and inflammation. Compression can help support athletic performance, prevent injury and accelerate healing.”

What is a Compression session like?
Not sure what to expect from your Compression session at Restore? Compression is a relaxing experience that may feel quite similar to a massage. After completing a simple waiver, our expert staff will have you lie down on one of our comfortable lounge chairs and put our Normatec Compression boots on your legs. Our Compression boots are comfortable, flexible devices that cover your foot all the way up to over your knee. During your session, you can lay back and relax while the boots gradually fill with pressurized air and then empty out. The result is a light, controlled pressure on your extremities. You can also choose to place the Compression sleeves on your arms. With our compression session, you’re in control! You can choose the level of pressure you prefer and the time you’d like to spend enjoying compression.
How does Compression work?
Compression can be an effective way to improve your overall circulation and blood flow. Compression works by adding controlled, dynamic pressure to areas where flow may be slightly restricted. This means that compression can help you to loosen venous pressure and may aid the body in moving blood toward the heart. Compression can be particularly helpful to massage and loosen stiff muscles and joints after a long run or tough workout. This is because compression may help lactic acids and other build-up in bodily tissues release and be carried through the body. Compression can help to process these wastes, thereby speeding up the time it takes your muscles to recover.
